If You ask for refund, you are trapped !

With availability of almost everything online I bought a TP-LINK TL-WR740N 150 Mbps Wireless N Router from Flipkart website some months ago. Due to some technical reasons with my broadband network I was unable to use this WiFi Router and I asked for refund of this product. I explained the Flipkart Customer service team the whole scenario, after 2-3 days they agreed to refund me the money and said we will send the amount in the account of the person on whose name the order was placed. But I did not write my complete name as written in my bank details so I requested them to send the money in my mother’s bank account. They said me to fill a form to transfer the refund amount to my mother’s account. After I submitted the form they said me to wait for around 15-20 days. I waited for 20 days and called the customer service but they said that my form is not processed and will take some more time to process. Then after 1 and half month I called them again, now they started making silly excuses that your account number is not clear in the form. Second excuse they made was that our customer service executive has read the account number wrongly so there is a problem while processing your request. By creating all this mess they took 4 months more to process my request. After 6-7 months of my complaint they processed my request of refund. After this they again took 20 more days to refund me back the money. Such a terrible experience with such a big e-Commerce website.


The product quality was fine and was equal to the market product. The packing of the product was also fine with bubble wrap and cardboard box. But with these factors customer service also matters a lot for a company to grow and excel in business. The product was delivered on time and was took back on time too for the refund.


The website of Flipkart works well but there are various problems with the mobile application for this e-Commerce website. When we are using the application with WiFi then it works fine but when we are using the application with the mobile data then it does not work well at all. The application does not show the images of the products which we are browsing when we are using it with the mobile data. Even the application gets hanged up if not using with WiFi. More development is required with this mobile application.


With my overall experience I do not think this company to be reliable related to various factors like poor customer service, lack of application development. I recommend the users to be very careful while purchasing any product from such websites as the buyer must always beware. Experiencing such careless attitude of the company and it’s employees I am fully disappointed with it.
