I am avid online shopper and usually investigate and check online reviews before placing an order. Since mouthshut had over 50% rating for Flipkart(which is rare for a shopping portal), media coverage of flipkart & all inclusive price(incl octroi) I decided to buy from Flipkart.
Ordered Motherboard and Intel CPU total approx R.17000.(3mths interst free EMI) paid by credit card. Cancelled partial order i.e motherboard before shipment since some details requested were not available. Got prompt refund as Flipkar wallet Cash. CPU was delivered promptly.
Ordered Kingston SSD approx Rs.7500.(3mths EMI) paid by credit card, received promptly, the packaging had some wear buyt product was as described.
Ordered another motherboard approx Rs.7500(3mth EMI) paid by credit card, received a used motherboard with missing accessory, immediately I clicked pictures of the product and sent them with request for replacement. Within 24 hrs I was promised replacement in 6 days. Replacement never came and did not get satisfactory answer. Had to co-ordinate multiple times but pleasantly got response each time(call and email). Finally though delayed they have collected the motherboard and processed my refund to my card as requested.
Ordered a internal DVD burner(COD), received promptly and paid in cash, I was also offered the option to pay be card on delivery WOW.
Flipkart has got me as a customer for life, I really hope they keep up their superior customer support. The real test of a company which truely values the customer is when problem happens and Flipkart delivered in that test.
I read the other day that flipkart has bought Letsbuy.com(another good online shopping site - had bought Sony SK17i phone and Big TV STB), all the best, I hope this company succeeds and brings assurance of online buy with confidence to many more.
