Flock is a social web browser. Similar to any other web browser this too can be used to do all tasks related to internet.
Built in features: Similar to that of the Firefox, the interface, options & controls are same.In other words this is a browser which has extra features than Firefox.

This browser was the excellent when compared to others.People who look for Rss feeds, blogs(Blogger , Wordpress etc), Mail accounts (Yahoo, Gmail, MSN, AOL etc), community websites (Flickr, My space, Twitter, Facebook etc) are the main targets for this browser.To be short this is browser which is based on group activities (Flock-as the name implies)
Interface: If you have used Firefox , Netscape navigator then its no hard to learn using flock. The interface such as Buttons, search bar are all same as firefox.Just this appears like Firefox with themes.
My World: This is the home page of this browser.It contains all the activities that you do with Flock.
If you have subscribed to any RSS feeds, the when you open the browser, it automatically updates the RSS feeds that are new to the site you have subscribed.If you have bookmarked your favorite sites then, all the bookmarks will appear on the page allowing you to go to your favorite page, just like the speed dial option in Opera.
The Favorites(bookmarks bar) appear on the top of the browser below the address bar.The address bar contains buttons for available media stream, new installable search engine, RSS feeds that are available on the site.So to subscribe to a site that you are seeing , just click on the RSS button.If you find a new search engine , and if you like it, just click on the search engine button to install new search engine.
You can send feedback to Flock team via this browser, if you click on the Feddback button on the buttons toolbar.
Search: Yahoo is the search engine by default.You can change it else you can mark up other search engines In the menu that appears.By doing this you can look for other results too.For example, if I have marked google and wiki in the search, then if I type CAR WALLPAPERS in search bar, first all results that Yahoo found will be listed.Below that live results generated by google and wiki will be listed.
To mark a favorite site just click on the star button near the address bar. Fin! You have book marked!
Media Bar:The most amazing feature of Flock.If you look for pictures , videos then this would be a good tool for you.Say you like to search for a pop album video in You tube, just enable the media bar and select search in You tube option, type the name or term you search.Just see the results.All results are displayed in the media bar with smooth interface ! You can share that with your friend too. Cool to use.
People: Do you have account in Twitter, Youspace, Digg, Facebook, My Space? Then getting people when you are browsing is so easy.Just log on and leave.When you find your buddy online it will be indicated.
Webmail: Have accounts at Yahoo, AOL, Gmail? Just log once , flock will remember your password.Next time when you wish to visit.just click on the login button on the web mail bar.Cool , you will be logged in.
Web Clipboard: You can use any web data to be stored in Web clipboard like the clipboard in Windows.Just all you need to do is drag ant put it in the sidebar.Then use it when you like.
Finally comes the most wonderful feature of Flock.
Blog Editor:If you are a blogger , this is gift to you.Just you can blog offline and post online.Say if you discuss any topic just type the data in the blog editor and save.You can be online or offline.If you are offline , you can just save and recover when needed.To post the blog just mention your blog address (only once asked) and click on post.Finished, you have blogged!
Photo Uploader:If you wish to upload photos to your account in Picasa, Flickr etc just click on the photo and select upload option.Within seconds you will be seeing your photo uploaded ate the website.
Security:Talking about security, this is a browser that uses the same technology as that of Firefox.So this is extremely secure for you to browse.
Add-ons:Very cool news is that the Add-ons that match Firefox will work fine in this browser too.
