We had ordered a birthday cake to be delivered to our little niece currently living in one of the small cities in India where Flora India claimed to deliver cakes.
The ordering process on the net was smooth and when I sent them a mail to deliver by 2PM they sent me an assurance mail that they would try their best but might get delayed etc. for reasons beyond their control etc. They sounded so authentic.
On the day of delivery when we called our folks they told that no cake arrived. It was so embarrassing. When we called Flora India, they said, they were "sorry" that they were not able to deliver and they had sent an email. Just at the time of promised delivery they were sending emails and not even making a call to us to tell this. In the email they said that they would not deliver as the distance is more. They were ready to delivery next day if I paid another Rs. 250. What would my niece do with a birthday cake after her birthday? How absurd and irresponsible suggestion!
For 10 days they were sitting on our order and even replying to mail with empty assurances. They did not check the address. They claim to make deliveries to this city in their website and this place is at the heart of the city. No one explained why I would be paying extra and if at all why they asked for extra money at the last moment when I had no option from ordering a cake from elsewhere! Very cheap and untrustworthy!
Now we are waiting for my refunds - going by other reviews here this also looks elusive like the cake.
We are losing trust on internet shopping because of these kind of players.:-(
