South Florida offers the Everglades National Park where you can observe the natural habitat of truly distinct animals, alligators are fascinating.
South Beach has hip and trendy people, great food and an exciting wild nightlife. Jal-alai is a must see...you can bet on which team will win throwing pelotas very fast against a wall...kinda like handball except with a long basket strapped to your hand! Always bet a 1-2-6 trifecta...wins alot for some reason!
Disneyworld and all of greater Orlando is a family feast for entertainment, fun and fantasy! Then you can hit Port Canaveral and take a cruise for a few days! Or head the other direction and hit Tampa...great food, shopping and beaches...cruises now too!
On the northeast coast, you can visit St. Augustine and take in the history of Florida and Ponce de Leon and the fountain of youth! Continue north and Jacksonville beckons with a metro feel.
Up in the Panhandle (because sideways Florida looks like a flat pan) you’ll find the Capital of the state Tallahassee...where the Capitol building is...get it...different spelling! Now the terrain changes and starts getting a little hilly, beautiful live oak trees with spanish moss hanging down...the beginning of the southern ’’y’all’’ flair, home of some great college football at Florida State University.
To the west is the new vibrant town of Destin, the fastest growing area in Florida and the beaches, world-class fishing and great shopping make it a popular destination for families and singles. Farther west is Pensacola, still struggling to recover from the hurricanes of ’04.
