Florida is a little bit of everything!
It is of course, best known for ’’Disney World’’
And why not! Disney is a Fabulous place
for kids of all ages!
People from all over the World, come to see
the wonders and magic of Disney.
I have been lucky enough to have Family employed
so I get free entry often..(it is quite expensive)
But Florida is much more than that!
We have Beautiful Parks and Beaches.
And some of the most beautiful Real Estate
to be found anywhere..
It’s a Tropical Paradise, with Palm Trees
everywhere, and beautiful white sandy beaches..
I live on the West Coast(about 30 miles from Tampa)
One of the most beautiful beaches close by,
is ’’Clearwater Beach.’’College Kids choose this one
for Spring Break, (vacation from College)
’’Tampa’’ itself, is a very interesting city.
Most of the Cigar business started in ’’Ybor City’’
in the center of Tampa..
Ybor City, is a community within Tampa.
They no longer make cigars there, but
have turned the factories into Night Clubs,
restaurants and Shops..Each having a Cuban flavor..
Its a Huge Nightspot for the young
and sometimes wild folks...
Florida for the rest of us is a great place to live!
Many of us can have beautiful homes with pools.
Property taxes are cheaper, in(many parts of Florida, )
than in other parts of U.S..
But there is a downside..The Heat!!!
It can become unbearable if you work outside.
The Humidity just doesn’t let up..
We do get a winter, and we look forward to that..
Sometimes it drops down to 30 degrees overnight,
then the Orange Groves and Strawberry farms,
are in danger of damaged fruit due to frost...
It goes back up to 60 degrees the next day.
That is time for me, to get out the sweaters..
Now about the Bugs!..
People think we have a terrible bug problem!
I don’t find that to be true!
We have screened-in-Patio’s and pools.
so sitting outside is never a problem..
To sum up...Florida is a really nice state
with something for everyone..
But after the Summer Heat..
We have earned that mild Winter!!
