I’ve been writing on food for a long time now & just thought would review foodpanda, we could review restaurants on zomato or foodpanda, but can’t rate them. Well, I’m not sure about the rumpus here, in fact I’m surprised. I’ve used the service 20+ times & trust me it gets addictive & it’s extremely convenient.
IMO, what lacks here is, patience. Ordering from foodpanda the first time, it takes time bcz u have to create a login, feed in your address just like you’d do on say, Flipkart or Jabong. And of course you aren’t ordering electronics or shoes which will be delivered in a couple of days.
You need your food in 30-40 minutes, and hence people just think that phone ordering may be preferable. But give it time, reordering & 2nd or 3rd time ordering is so convenient. You just have to decide from the menu & the order is placed. And I love the app. I have placed orders in just 30 seconds.
There have been times when the order was a little delayed, but I would blame the restaurant equally for it, because in the end, they are the guys who’d deliver. IMO, foodpanda is a really good service platform. I was in Mumbai & had no clue what to order from the areas nearby & thanks to foodpanda, I didn’t even have to speak to anyone, the delivery guy knocked at my door in 35 minutes.
And it’s funny how Indians have extreme reactions to things. Some delay in order processing & BAM! They’re all over the internet.
