I had once ordered food with a restaurant through foodpanda.
However, due to some mishap faced by the delivery boy as informed by him, the food was delayed by nearly 3 hrs. I immediately got in touch with the foodpanda support team and requested an update. The support executive promptly got in touch with the restaurant and got back to me within 2 mins with an explanation and ensured the food reached me ASAP. As a courtesy, foodpanda returned my money(which I had paid online) the same day.
It didnt stop with that. Foodpanda had gotten in touch with the owner of the restaurant escalating this issue and ensured his personal apology for the inconvenience(which I definitely wasnt expecting). And all on the same day within 1 hr!
Although the delay caused me great inconvenience, the courtesy and support extended by both Foodpanda and the restaurant was unbelievably flattering.
Clearly, foodpanda looks into every issue, irrespective of the order size(my order was hardly for Rs 300) and treats every customer with equal importance.
Mishaps are inevitable in any nature of business. However, it is the support level that plays a vital role in creating good image.
Foodpanda has definitely earned my respect and I have gone back to ordering food with the same restaurant the very next day.
