First hats off to ford for launching such a nice compact SUV, Ecosport(Ambient, Petrol) is very good car for the Indian standards, nice for Indian roads, weathers.etc.
I bought this car in 2014 Feb, (price I paid at that time was 8, 50, 000 Onroad) Driving this car for almost 3.5 years now the car is well built, no compromise on quality, considering its cheap pricing compared to its other car compititor’s. Few things I would like to mention about this car, hoping it will help somebody.
QUALITY:
-Extirior and Intirior is really good, you feel the the premium quality just by looking at it .
-Considering its cheap from all other rival cars, its well built, no doubt on that.
COMFORT:
-Driving this car is really comfortable, since its compact, you don’t feel conjusted inside.
-head room, leg room is very good both in front and back end .
-Short people(less than a height of 5.5 ft) might have some problem as the car bonnet(front hood) is liitle high and road visibility is low and also the A pillar in both sides prevents visibility, But I don’t think once your’e used to the car its ok, shouldn’t be a big problem though.
POWER & MILEAGE:
-Since its a 1.5 ltr engine, i thought the power will be good, but its slow and needs time to get some accelaration.
-while you’re on A/C you feel the power is drained out, you feel the car is powerless.
-Mileage on the other hand is average, the company claimed to give out 15-16 in cities and 18-19 on highway.But what I have been getting is 12-13 in cities and 15-16 in highways. And with A/C on it drops even low .
SOME NOTABLE POINTS:
-Boot space is amazing
-Best family car if you have less than 5 members in you’re family, this car can get you any where.
-If you’re planning to buy this car, my advice is you go for a diesel version, it might cost you a little more but trust you wont regret buying .
-Also being the basic model this misses some helpful features, so make sure you check all the models and features before you buy .
OK. Thats it, overall this car is good, only downside is the power, otherwise its best considering its pricing.
Like come-on people you can’t get everything for cheap .
