Background: I’m owning Ford EcoSport 1.5 Diesel Trend, bought in Nov, 2013. It has just finished 16000 KMs and all service are done regularly.
Issue: Last week while driving down( with my family) to my home town from Bangalore( where I live currently) , the vehicle broke down after Hosur, 65 KMs away from Bangalore. Tried Contacting Ford road side assistance service and it took many attempts to get the call connected( always service agents were busy talking to other customers) .
After filing complaint, it took another 3.30 hrs for someone to show up from Ford Roadside Assistance( Nearest authorized Ford service centre was just around 20 KMs away) . They took the vehicle on toe to next service center. Later I hired a taxi for rest of the trip. Next day I came to know that flywheel of the gear is completely gone and needs to be replaced. It took around 4 days for getting my car back after repair. Note that I had finished second service for the vehicle a week before this incident( the service was not due, I got it done just to ensure safe trip) . I’ve been driving different cars for 10 years( not Ford cars) , never faced any serious issue with those vehicles. I’m totally disappointed with Ford EcoSport and their customer care. I will not consider Ford again if I change my car in future. Totally disappointed!
