I bought this diesel engine car a year back. The car is excellent in all aspects except the below.
The mileage of this car is pathetic, Ford & Arai says 20KMPL, but for me the vehicle gives 12 in City and just 15 on highways.
The A/c is is very powerful and the entire car is cooled within minutes, but the problem is, at times only the fan works and not cooling at all. Then after several restarts, it suddenly works. During such times there will be sound for A/c compressor switching on and off at short intervals.
When the vehicle was just not even 10 days old, the left front shocks has some sound like a worn out shocks, when the vehicle lands on a bumper.
Only 2 medium sized adults can be seated comfortably in the rear seats.
Now coming to the Services Issues. a. The service costs are not that much high and is more or less like maintaining one Swift Dzire(Since that was the car I owned prior to Ecosport b. After repeated complaints and escalations to Ford, I got my shocks issues resolved c. When complained about the A/c issues, the dealer says that they cannot check the issue unless they face the issue. d. When asked about the mileage issues I was told how to drive my car and a special mileage expert will be needed to check my car and for which I need to book an appointment.
My overall feed back for Ecosport will be a good car if you do not worry about mileages
