I will present the review as a series of question/answer.
Why Fiesta?
It is rather uniquely positioned in that budget range. Am talking about the low-end 1.4 model which is on the road under 7 lacs. Didn’t really have the money for a Civic or a Beamer ;)
What would I consider buying, if not a Fiesta?
Honda City or Swift DZire. Honda City looked like almost the same package at a higher price (and not really a driver’s car) and DZire was not available at that time.
What is the mileage?
Per litre with a/c, 10km in city and upto 14km on long drives.
What do I like most about it?
Ride comfort and engine smoothness is really good. The a/c is very effective too. And, low on maintenance.
And the dislikes?
Dealer behavior is an issue so far. Cauvery Ford really has a long way to go before they could be called customer-friendly.
How long have you been using the vehicle?
2 Years+
Any noticeable difference?
Engine noise has gone up from undetectable to mild. Not a problem yet, but would leave you longing for the near-silent engine it was.
Switchin on the a/c affects performance now. It wasn’t so earlier.
Top Speed?
Drives smooth even at 160kmph. Does not feel as stable as the ikon 1.6 at high speed though, especially at curves.
Overall
The first car am using into the third year. Guess that sums it up! :)
