I bought my Fiesta Diesel in July 07 and have driven a total of 5100 kms till date.
Overall it’s a good car however I have noted a few shortfalls and hope that Ford would take notice and improve in these aspects.
- Noise factor: Noise factor on the highway is very high. Once over 70 kmph you can barely hear
yourself talk.
Recommend: Proper engine and cabin insulation to suppress road noise
2. Seating: A pain in the back- No lumbar support - No thigh support
Recommend:
a) Improved seating
b) Deeper seats to provide thigh support
c) Provide a clutch foot rest - similar to that found on the Getz
- Rear windscreen: The rear windscreen shattered within the first month. I suspect it was due to
usage of the rear de-fogger during the monsoons. The heat generated to de-fog eventually
shattered the glass.
Ford’s reply was it was due to "Gas" (pressurized cabin ) - This is utter nonsense.
- 6-CD changer: No USB connectivity to plug in an I-pod . Considering we are now in the 20th
century, this is really being cheap.
