I bought this car for the power and over all driving experience this car offers over the other brands .
The options I had was to look at Aveo /Honda city .
Aveo turned out to be a very less responsive car andHonda city was over priced for its feature offerings, also I found City a car much under powered when compared to Fiesta 1.6 Zxi, for a comparable cost. City Vtech was a good option when you look at the power but was highly over priced.
What I liked in Fiesta was the pick up , the sheer power it exhibits especially when you speed up
from + 90 Km /Hour..a typical case of high way driving and overtaking.
The other two hands own experience I would like to remember about this car which made really impressed were,
- A sudden breaking when I was driving at around 80 kmph in the Chennai Pondichery ECR road, immediately after a turning I found a rick in the middle of the road around 20 meters ahead..
With full breaking I could stop the car , with my Bonnet just about to hit the rick , car stopped with a tyre burn like a line straight drawn. That was an amazing saving for me, wife and our child ..
The car was not having an ABS at all...
- This has happened during the return trip , on the Chennai - Blore highway at midnight .
Driving at around 140 - 150 Kmph , I was chasing a Corolla, just about to overtake him , the road ahead was turning ..Suddenly I found a car in between out from no where.. no time to apply breaks as my only option was to take a sharp cut .. and at a speed level of 140 kmph, I could
manage my car well in control and balance ..which could have other wise be a disastrous end ... That was hats off to Ford and Fiesta !!
I think a 1.6 fiesta is a drivers car.. those who are young in blood fo those who like to feel it your own ..
