I own a santro currently but have owned cars like maruti 100o and sierra before. now I want to upgrade my santro ( quite a faithful friend she is been... ) I was planning to buy a petrol car I did my survey of mid size saloons in mid range..
fiat is out of question...... accent has very low milage... city is expensive.... so that leaves me with a ford fiesta or maruti esteem VXi.
the esteem was winning the argument due it’s value for money proposition. with top end evrsion a decent 1K cheaper to fiesta, but I test drove petrol fiesta and I loved the car....
As it is written in numerous reviews the car is silky smooth and teh NVH is terrifically low. although I could not check out the flat out performance of the car. due to bad roads available for test drive.
the new esteem definately scores in this department due to it’s high power to weight ratio. it rocks.. I would have strightway chosen to buy a esteem but I am ( I guess everybody is) bored with it’s dated looks there is no fun factor to that car...
When it comes to shape color and looks fiesta definately is worth going "fida" but with the petrol prices going up I am concerened about the milage of ford fiesta 1.4 petrol engine. can someone advice me what is the milage of 1.4 ford fiesta in city like mumbai.
also if you own a fiesta do tell me about the acceleration and engine refinment.
as I said I could not test it properly although I am planning to take one more test drive for checking out same.
