It has done 128400+kms till date, went thrice to himachal (palampur-dharamshala-dalhousie-khajjiar) once to patnitop and 3 times nainital so I can say with lowest power (68ps) it is the best on hills. More then five years experience now, as I purchased on june 2007...
Purchased 2yrs extended warranty which is worthy buy for all car owners. Service cost u all know arround 2200-2400 per 10000kms and around 4000 for 30-60-90000kms. So such big extra expenses, I paid some twice in btw, as in past 5 yrs I hav faced 2 accidents, one is within one year and last time in november...and every time after this happening I come to know that no matter people ask u to go for maruti/hyundai and vice versa, dnt trust on them as safety vise they r dumb......most of u surely knows this whn a car hit on the road.... I will suggest u to go with ford, honda, and even fiat.....solid build quality is always worthy for roads...
if u r going to buy a car always go for few points..as per ur use...
1- engine and milage
2- handling
3-safety
looks does matters.....
company tag doesn’t matters much for guy like me, im not in those who think about resale at the time of buying..lol
after 128400+ kms now I think thr is some problem in my cars clutch..from last 4-5 days its not working well in the morning after ignition on gear thr is a problem in gear shift, but after 5-7mins whn it engine gets hot its working properly, dunno wats the reason behind ...will go to service station in next 2-3days....i dnt know the life of clutch plates as mine is original till date, never had any problem..though I drove on hills as well...
still not thinking to change the car although some of my friends r saying yaar ab change kar le bore nhi hua :))
advice for those who wants to buy a diesel car...just go and buy fiesta if u want to buy a car arround 8lac, ford is giving 2yrs + 100000kms warrenty and I will suggest u to buy 2yrs extended warrenty asn stay happy for next 4years. 4yrs and 1.50000kms is gud enough warrenty for engine.ac, power windows, lock set and I dnot think other items r that costly..

Hello Friends, i use to read reviews about cars here on mouth shut and I must say its a nice site and helpfull site for car lovers and car owners speacially for those who want to buy a car and bit confused between different brands and models.i was driving indica V2 DLG and after 2 and half years and more then 53000kms I planned to change the vehicle, so I sold out my indica for 2.30lacs and that time I was very much confused abt my 2nd car, and that time I was planning to spend about 5.50 to 6.50 lacs, so I checked chevrolet aveo, u-va , swift vdi, honda city and ford fiesta petrol. now my exp about all the cars.Aveo : nice car, good ride quality, beautiful interiors ( better then any car of same segment), but petrol vehicle and about 10kms milage in city. ( I rejected this coz my daily drive is about 50-80kms ).
So its not a gud idea to buy a petrol vehicle coz I was driving a diesel one before.u-va: again a nice car with great space inside, decent interiors but again a petrol vehicle and wid milage of arround 11-12 in city so I rejected u-va.verna: over 8lacs, bit more noicy and shaky at high speed. nad more thn 50k difference more power thn fiesta but I never feel any lack of power in fiesta.then I went to Maruti showroom, my exp was great nice they hav very good sales person and they know how to deal with coustmers so I was quite impressed by the sales person as I was thinking to buy a sedan after my first hatch car indica he showed my SX4 a nice car, but with poor milage same as aveo and other cars whn he come to know about daily drive he suggested me to go for swift diesel, I took a test drive.
One can easily say WOW wat a car specially guy like me who was driving a indica, now abt swift loaded with fiat engine, a smooth car with nice pickup and 75bhp power..its zippy and I remember that time swift was on booking but when sales person come to know that I already sold my car and im in hurry he promised me he will give a ready delivery of swift LDI but I asked about VDI with power windows and all he said he cant give VDI in hurry so I left the showroom and very next day I went to ford showroom just to hav a look of fiesta.the sales person was nice I asked him about fiesta petrol as I heard about a good milage of fiesta but he said it will give me arround 12-14 kmpl in city I said sorry I cant buy this, then he said better u try tdci, and fir I take a test drive of fiesta tdci.
And I was very much impressed after a long test drive, great look, gud road grip, perfect steering, dencent interiors and very much safe too, safety feature is my 3rd concern after look and milage. but I was very costly vehicle for me coz I was planing to spend about 6.5 lacs and tdci was costing about 7.72lacs onroad so I came back to home, I open mouthshut and read all the reviews about aveo, honda city, swift and ford fiesta.after reading all the reviews I finally decide to increse my budget and I went ford showroom next day and I asked for better deal and after 1-2hours of talk he finally agreed for a decent discount of 19k and then I booked fiesta tdci and now after 22 months im writing my first review here on mouthshut.here comes my own experiance about firsta
TDCI.Total running: 37900Duration: 22monthsDriving condition: 80% city, 20% hightwayLongest drive : 3400kms ( Lucknow to Delhi to Jammu-udhampur-vaishnodevi-udhampur-patnitop-jammu-amritsar-delhi-lucknow.)milage: 16-17 kmpl (100% ac on) and 19+ witout ac in city, 20+ ac on highways( coz I never go for milage drive, I use to drive over 100km/hr on highways.Ride Quality: superd, if u hav any doubt thn go for a test drive and feel the magic ;)strong body and complete safety, safest car on its class.maintainence : very affordable, till date no extra expence as I have paid 11.5k for extended warrenty and just once I used this a noice from engine and I went to showroom at southcity ford noida and they changed it in a 70mins time witout any cost coz of extended warrenty.and thats why I am a satisfied and proud owner of ford fiesta.at last if u wanna buy a sedan then go for fiesta, join the fiesta fan club :) and feel the magic.Thanks for sparing your time to read my review....Have a nice day/night, Enjoy !!!
