Overall performer

I bought FORD Fiesta ZXI a couple of months ago disposing of my 2nd hand Honda City. Though not as spacious as Honda, the Diesel motor is torquey, refined and powerful and you don’t have to sweat for overtaking in highways.

It’s a drivers car for sure, it hogs the road in a nice fashion and gives confidence for high speed cornering. I get decent mileage of around 16kmpl +/- in city driving conditions and for its power, it’s pretty decent.

Some sore points though, Looks could have been more contemporary, Space, not really a writing point, otherwise, other than that it scores well in all other departments. Front passenger may have to sit in a little tilted position for the handle from the door intrudes.

Dash looks bland and black . There is not enough cubby holes. It’s a mystery to me why car makers consider front side drivers armrest or a dead pedal as a luxury item, it can really help, for this car is a highway cruiser. Beige interiors is a big no-no for us, the fabric gets dirty too easily, two DIN music system plays audio discs (no Mp3 or DVD) and there is two tweeters in either side on the front A pillar which sounds nice.

I’m not sure about the service yet, so safely I had given them 3* rating! Overall Fiesta performs well in city as well as highways. Forgetting some small glitches this car is good, capable and a overall performer.
