I have done 8100 kms in 6-months.
A frequent user of FIgo .You will get a positive energy while finishing this post, so I would like to say its drawbacks first
1.In second gear, pick-up is not so stunning as its competitor swift , Etios Liva, i20etc.,
2.Fully loaded Figo will require different driving technique for better mileage. I am passionate driver and mech Engr, learnt that from an Expert .
- The ground clearance is 2mm lesser than Suzuki swift (Swift -170mm, Figo-168mm), but the Wheel base distance is high. For Indian road bumps this will not help. You have to be conscious and raise your vehicle in an angle over the bumps or your underbody paints would peel off in shoter time :-P
FYI : In any bumps , I did not do a single underbody hit so far, because I am conscious about that
These drawbacks are negligible when you see its other side. I am very much comfortable and proud to be an owner of Figo for the following reason
1.Initial cost - Comparatively lesser. I own Figo Diesel – Titanium. 6.75L INR. All its competitor vehicles are costlier for the same features then .
2.Driving Pleasure – Awesome . I drove between 80Km / hr to 165km/hr. No difference in Noise , vibrations , harshness. It is Smoother ..
3.Mileage– Believe it or not, I am getting Mileage of 24.87 Kmpl (Without AC and Frequent Gear change and with four members , 2000-2500RPM). 1.89 litres are drunk for 47km in NH7.
On an average, it is giving 17.81kmpl (with AC)
4.ABS – I am alive now , because Figo’s ABS saved me from two major uncertainties-
•When I was over taking a bus on its right side , suddenly the bus driver turned slightly right for lane change without any indication and he apologized for that
•A dog crossed , when I tried to touch 160km/hr and the dog is saved. My humble request is buy an ABS fitted wagon to save yourself and also to save the ambient’s life from you. The cost you are paying for safety is 10000 times lesser than life.
I strongly recommend Ford Figo Diesel Titanium and my observation is “Figo is better than its competitor’s products “
