I have bought Ford Figo 1.4 TDCi Titanium Diesel on June 2011 and have done 4000 KM till date(Sep 2011). I have done extensive research in the internet and done test drive of many cars before deciding Ford Figo. Below are my priorities on deciding the car.
Hatch back(for better city drive)
Diesel(i drive around 15, 000 KMs per year and cost of petrol is going high.)
Safety - ABS and Air bag
Budget of 6 - 6.5 Lakhs on road
Good space inside and also the boot space
I was driving petrol cars for the past 8 years and found Figo Diesel is closed to petrol in the city drives(almost no turbo lags which is common in many other diesel cars). The car looks small from outside but inside it has the feel of big cars. The boot space is amazing.
The music system provided by ford is very good(available only in Titanium model now). The bass is really good.
The stability of the car at high way is very good(i drove up to 120 km/hr).
Below are some of the areas, it could have been better.
Ground clearance is not enough and car scrapes the bottom in most of the speed brakes(unless you are very slow). When the car is loaded fully, it increases.
