Figo - Zxi - TDCi : ENGINE - it’s a 1400cc engine..people say it has low power…well I have driven an Alto for almost 30000 kms and I used to drive as given in Manual i.e. 1st Gear - 0 to 10 Kmph…so on …5th Gear 55 - 60 Kmph, tried the same in Figo and you certainly feel power lacking in 2nd Gear so altered my style and took the 1st Gear till about 20-30 kmph and buy the Car comes to life in 2nd Gear onwards...so all in all a very decently performing engine, even when your are cruising at 80-90 Kmph you can feel that the car is urging you to step on the Gas padel....The efficiency has been great did a Mumbai - Pune - Mumbai ride with 700 bucks of normal fuel
SUSPENSION - The suspension also has performed superbly especially on long rides, it does take on the bumps seamlessly but a word of caution never attack the speed-breakers/potholes, the suspension seem to retaliate with a loud thud…this is bad for the springs…the suspensions are compressed to support the weight and the moment there is a let off they want to get back to original state of 0 tension thats where you have to handle it with care, ...slowly over the speed bumps !!
INFOTAINMENT & CONNECTIVITY - This machine is loaded with features…the music system is just awesome…only issue…no remote/steering controls for the audio. The bluetooth connectivity is superkool…it even reads out emails on your blackberry !! You can access ur phonebook, make calls even stream ur audio files from the Phone...
COMFORT & CONVENIENCE - It can seat 5 people very comfortably..not as big as a Vista though…but its big enough for my family!!... Long drives are not at all cumbersome… the AC is superb you would want to go beyond the 2nd level on your Blower…the steering is like "Makkhan"…super smooth and responsive...Only Hick up is that the Key remote has a BIG range...i could open my car doors from my 7th Floor flat...although it does auto lock in a few minutes but the Key is not something you should let children play with...Also there is no alarm for unclosed windows so you have to ensure all are locked up... The Distance to Empty feature helps you to dig into your reserves and stretch it to the Max...BUT DO NOT let the TANK DRY OUT... I have heard the engine stalls...Big Mess...
SAFETY - One reason why I didn’t go for Titanium was that this car is built with safety as prime focus…the entire engine is mounted on 4 screws which collapse incase of a major impact and hence the engine compartment acts as a crumple zone. Also the steering assembly goes into the engine compartment hence more safety for passengers..Of course all this when the Seat Belts are on...otherwise "Uparwallah bachaye!!"
Its a Great Value for Money...after all its your hard earned cash...put it on the right wheels...also dont forget to ask for your corporate discounts !! I am yet to get into the cycles of servicings and spare parts...hope the experience will be as wonderful as it has been so far !!
Cheers :)
