I purchased a new Ford Figo 1.4 zxi last week from Rajashree Ford peelamedu, I had a very hard drive in the first two days itself covering around 600 kms. Man TRUST ME it is really awesome it gives u a man feel. so much solid that gives to confidence to handle at any high speeds.
Everything happened to me in an excellent way right from the day I booked the car(Thanks to the ford showroom executives) Following are the points
They helped in getting the best bank loan available(SBI)
It was a complete hassle free work rite from the day I booked the car.
Waiting time is very less that you get in three days
I purchased the vehicle through Friends and Family pack that ford offers(5.33 Ex showroom)(A friend of mine works in ford I used that- Even for that I dint do much on that process, just asked my friend to send a mail)
Therefore the final price I offered including the accessories and exercise etc altogether -(Onroad 6.24L)
Apart from this I was offered with the Tank full(45 litres) of Diesel free of cost
Coming to the car now,
Pros
Excellent ride quality(Wins Swift, equals Fabia and Polo)
Handling(Wins Swift, Equals Fabia and Polo)
Steering Confident for Driver(Swift is nowhere near, takes an edge over Fabia and Polo)
Rear leg room and space(Swift and Liva are so much cramped and nowhere near, Definitely best than Polo)
Boot space is awesome(Best than all its competitors, More or less Polo is equal to Figo)
City Ride is very nice
AC I bet no other competitors offer this kind of an AC(Have experience this level only in some premium Sedans)
8. Audio system is amazing that the BLUETOOTH feature in it is rocking(Moving forward I am sure, I will not be booked by any police me on Cellphone driving)
- Interior looks are very good with all the AC vents and door handles with chrome kinda of plating
Cons
When we accelerate a lot there is a heavy engine noise in to the cabin feel like standing in an airport.(Polo is good in this point, Swift is OK and just takes an edge)
The USB connectivity in the audio system is a CRAP it does not all support most of the pendrives(Sony, HP, Kingston with FAT 32) created a pain in my neck wen I see the USB ERROR message FORD PLEASE PROVIDE THE LIST OF BRANDS YOU SUPPORT
The initial pick up is less that for e.g. if Figo is loaded with 5 people and it goes over a speedbumps I tend to move the First gear whereas Punto and Swift wins this part carrying with Second gear itself
No rear power windows(Ford says it is safety and due to design constraint but;))
THERE IS NO CHANGE WITH THE GC IN THE FACELIFT SAME 168mm
I will not say the Ground clearance is a Con because, we speak more about the stability while moving at speeds like 145-160, that’s because of this lower chassis. I have been all throughout the bad roads in coimbatore and big bumps I dint notice a single hit(Wat happens just slowing the car two seconds while going over the bumps- TO BE HONEST YES IT HITS IF THERE ARE 3 ONBOARD WITH SOME HEAVY LUGGAGE IN THE BOOT) but this is not a biggest con because I am the one who handles the car very carefully
Performance
Figo’s pickup is all good but not to the swift level, you need to wait the car to cross 1500rpm so that you can start racing with swift(If you are a better driver then you could definitely make swift stay back).
Mileage is good in this one week I identified in city traffic(16 with Full AC) and on Highways(20 with Full ac) REMEMBER THE CLUTH PEDAL IS NOT YOUR FOOTREST- AVOID THIS FIGO WILL GIVE YOU GOOD MILEAGE
My Final words being a car freak
Car is not only about the engine performance and brand(It is something more that covers comfort, ride quality, buying cost, Road view)
Comparing the ex-showrrom cost FIGO is one excellent amazing option in the hatchback sector
I RECOMMEND FORD FIGO FACELIFT.
