Here i am presenting you all the initial ownership of the 1.2 figo. Purchased 04/14/2010 & so far i ran >700 kms in delhi heat and traffic. The build is satisfactory, with excellent cooling. Features in the figo makes it vfm except the fe. Currently i am getting 10-11.5 in city driving with 100% ac.
Issues:
(1) dte never reveals correct reading. Hence don’t judge the fe from this. Use the conventional method of tank full to full. Use trip meter reading for accuracy in measuring the fe.
(2) the fe as stated above is a bit low for now. Not sure it would do any wonder after 1st service. Only hoping to raised after 3rd service but that’s a long way to go.
(3) slight churp noise is coming from the ip. Not sure about that. Going to meet service guys for this pretty soon.
(4) sluggish @ 1st and 2nd gears, but fun to drive after 3rd. No one would be near to me once i reached 2000 rpm mark.
For better pick-up, do shift the gears between 1500 - 2000 rpm and for better fe drive the car @ 1500 rpm and also indulge the 5th gear asap.
Please don’t drive more than 2500 rpm for the initial run-in period of the car. After that please also not to drive to more than 3000 rpm for next 1500 kms. After that the beast is your to enjoy.
(5) found ingress and egress very ok and the space inside the car is extremely sufficient for my family.
(6) boot space is simply magnificent.
(7) at times you feel a slight bumpy ride quality - but that too very marginally. The best suspension in hatches being provided by vw-polo.
(8) no tilt steering even in top end as well and no 60:40 spilt seats in rear deviates figo a bit from the tag of perfect Indian family car.
