I own a Ford Fusion. I took delivery in 3week of March this year & it has already visited work shop with problems. The Starter was gone bad for some reason. Shakti ford is the dealer workshop where I send it & they took about 4 days. Again recently fan motor was gone bad & 3weeks they took to give my car back. Such Important parts are at Chennai & it took 2 weeks to arrive from there. In 2 weeks FORD could have send parts from US. The answer the manager Shakti Ford gave that I might be just unlucky to have these problems as other customer does not face it.
I feel this car is a serious problem after the 2 years of warranty as the parts will be expensive & if the car dose needs any part from Chennai then you had it.
I also have some serious concerns about quality of people handing the car.
I met one proud owner of Ford Icon, who had this amazing mileage problem in his car. The car started giving 4KM per Liter after servicing, and he was there to give them again for checking the problem. The car is maintained the owner regularly at the same workshop.
I feel FORD is not a good brand to buy in India unless they improve on the service area. I know people who comment how good the brand is but if the vehicle is going to spend more time at the workshop then the owner place then what is the use of such vehicle. It is easy to say FORD is good but it’s difficult to maintain an expensive car without parts.
