This is the first time I am writing the review of my car i.e FORD IKON TDCI. I bought this car last year on 24th July i.e almost 10 months now and I have driven it around 13000k. My car is of Platinum color . Below I would like to elaborate few Pro’s and cons of the car.
Pro’s
1) Recently I made an effort to calculate the Mileage of the car . In the 25 litres diesel . I managed 500 km
with 70 % times non-AC and 30% AC . I got mileage of around 20 . In that about 70 km on highway and rest
in the city. So you can say around 19-20 . I thing which is excellent.
2)AC cools of pretty quickly
3)The looks are nice from front and rear
4)The boot is very spacious and you can fit in entire person in it
5)The suspensions are very good and jerk free as compared to SWIFT where
you can feel the jerks clearly when you pass through pit holes and bumpy roads.
6)The price when I bought was 6 lakhs around 10 months which is very reasonable
7)Dealer and servicing was good till now and they also give timely reminder about the same
8)One point I must mention is on the High ways this is a real Josh Machines .And it picks up speed
like any thing and is a sheer joy for the driver to drive.Excellent car for long drives
Cons
Not many but there are few notable ones
1)The most noiticable drawback is power lag .. or lack of pick when ac is on and when the car is loaded with 5 people in it. But I guess this happens with all the cars.
On the ghats I prefer keeping the AC swithed off for safety purpose
2)We have to get down of the car and open the boot(dicky )manually .Iam not sure why there is no
provision of opening the boot while sitting in the car.(Not sure if I am not aware if there is one).
