I bought a Ford Ikon Flair in September 04 largely because the way the car drove was the best in its class. However, my joy was shortlived since in the first year itself, the car had to be sent back to the workshop twice for repairs, for poor mileage and belt noise that would start as soon as the car was switched on.
One year down the way, I was offered an additional two year warranty at additional cost. This was an obvious choice considering the number of visits to the workshop.
By the time the car went in for servicing at 18 months, the central locking system and AC had been replaced for defects. The price of spare parts which was quoted by Ford was mind boggling and I thanked my stars for going for the additional two year warranty. I am amazed that a product from Ford should be reporting so many failures within 18 months of its purchase.
Any one who reads this feedback should think whether they want Josh and Fida or consider reliability and expensive spare parts of Ford before buying one.
