Bought the Ford Ikon 1300, in July, 2003. Almost 2 1/2 years now. Replaced the Zen we had. The wife uses it, and though she took time to graduate to the high rump in the Ikon, she cannot imagine how she drove the Zen for so many years. I have driven many cars and find the Ikon is superb for our roads.The comfort it offers in its segment is unparallelled fuel efficiency is good too at the recommended speeds.Dont forget to use your additive, and normal unleaded fuel. Two years down the line and I compare our Ford to the Hyundais, the Marutis, the Opels, the Fiats, and others who claim to be in the same segment, and I say ’’you all need to be born in the right Pedigree’’, only then can you even think of keeping abreast of the Ikon. To buyers of the Ford Ikon, I would recommend them to go ahead blind folded and buy the <JOSH> that will add josh and pleasure to their driving experiences, whether in city or on the Highway. It is now October 2007 .I still stand by what I have written about the Ford Ikon NXT . I recommend any car buyer to opt for Ford, probably the Fiesta now. My only small regret is the high cost of replacements. I have also noticed that at Ford centres you will not get the personalised service of yester year( Too much computerisation ; which makes them lose the personal touch).
I still own the IKON, and am thinking of a change now, and guess what I have zeroed onto the FIESTA. I am only debating the petrol/diesel version. I would appreciate some feedback.
