I own a Ford Ikon 1.3 CLXI. Ive had Engine trouble within 7000 km (Approx 1 year 3 months) of buying the car. The problem was apparently fixed each time to re-surface again. On the latest occasion, theyve had to open/repair and replace some parts in the engine.
Engine problems in cars barely 1 year old and driven for 7000 km should be extremely rare. I am extremely apprehensive of the major repairs/refurbishment carried out on the engine. The car has not been the same after the repairs.
One of primary reasons for buying a Ford car was my belief that it is a reliable and quality car. My beliefs have been nullified by my experiences – Three break-downs in a span of 3 months (wherein I had to call Ford service representative home to make the car drive able).
Ford - Quality care and reliability exists only on sticker. Customer service is pathetic. Customer service reps never get back.
