I own a Ford Ikon 1.3 CLXi (NXT) model since Feb’03. This is definitely one of the best cars available on Indian road. The best part of this car is it excellent grip on the road, and a noiseless drive. You will not feel any difference whether you drive at 40Kmph or 90Kmph.
The engine is a silent beast and the AC is very powerful. The car is so smooth that you will never feel that you are out of control at any speed. Manuvering is very easy. The suspension is good and gives you a comfortable ride. The ground clearance of 190 saves you from the city potholes.
I get a mileage of around 10-12 kmpl in city road condition in Kolkata. The after sales service of the dealer (Bothra Ford) is also very good. However, the parts are quite expensive and getting you car to Ford service center can cost you dearly.
Overall, an extremely good buy.
