Yes you read it right, it is third class not world class service. Ford is indeed a white elephant so it is foolish to buy it. Ford India allows authorised service centres of its dealers to loot customers without any oversight and control.
My ordeal started on 7th July 2018. My car was running smoothly with few minor problems. I got call from dealer reminding that my service is due. I fell into the trap of responding and booking a service. My door lock was giving problems and there was some noise during gear shift. Two hours after pick up of my car, I got a call that your estimate is Rs. 3206. Thinking of Ford TV ad of final estimate for peace of mind, I was happy that the amount is not too high. But that was not to be. I got a call at 3 pm that few items like break pads need replacement and now estimate is 5600. I did not like it but the way I was briefed I had to agree. In the evening I spoke and confirmed that door lock and gear shift problem were resolved.
My car was delivered and gear shift noise was still there and door lock was oiled. Next day car floor had water in it. Last night it had rained yes but we were confused how did water come inside. A few days later I was going with my wife to office and one front tyre burst. We had a narrow escape from a fatal accident. I told Ford, I was told they will send rep from tyre company to inspect. No one came. A week later wires came out from another tyre.i again called ford no help. Last week my door lock stopped working. Two days later my ac stopped working.
I bought two new tyres for 7000. So ford has made me shell out 12600.
When I did not get any positive response from dealer. I mailed ford india. Nothing happened. I tweeted, zilch. I sent a mail to md, ford india. My car was picked up for inspection. After 8 hours when I did not get an estimate I got to pick up my car. I was informally told estimate of 40000 on my car.
I ran like a scared cow from there. Left to Ford India, they will make me pay full value of car in one service.
And sad part is that all this happened in less than one month from the day I sent my poor, innocent and beloved car to these greedy vultures.
The Ford story is still continuing. The typical hunters are not in the mood to let go of the prey. After keeping my car for 8 hours in their service centre when they could not give me an estimate, chapter was closed from my end.
But the Ford guys are salivating like hounds as they see in me few ounces of blood left in the form of money to be made.
When Ford guy promised to call me back with an update by 6 pm as my father was in hospital and I needed to plan, I thanked him for his service. But he did not call so I went to Ford and picked up my car.
Same day later and on Monday these guys send me mails seeking for appointment for car repair. There is no mention of 8 hours of laziness and time waste on their part.
Then on Friday I get another call and the guy tells a white lie that he never promised to call back by 6 pm. He further continues lying saying that I am expecting 100% repair cost to be born by Ford.
So instead of being sorry for horrible service standards, Ford is blaming harassing and chasing its customer like a greedy dog.
