Ford v Ferrari: is a Sports Drama Film directed by James Mangold starring two superstar Matt Demon and Christian Bale.
Overall, an excellent movie. Knowing the outcomes, both for the race and the people actually made it better. Racing scenes, not as good as Le Mans or Grand Prix, about as good as Rush.To me, the highlight was the family relationship between the Miles family.Knowing what will happen to Ken, it's wonderful foreshadowing without pretense or heavy handedness. Non racing people of our age who don't know the whole story will gasp. It was perhaps a scene or two too long, but they had to give Matt Damon his curtain call. A few historical liberties were taken to tighten up the drama, but hey, it's a movie, not a documentary. The liberties don't significantly change the story and keep the plot lines coherent.
Acting is excellent, main characters are portrayed brilliantly, The biggest was to not give more credit to Phil Remington, the real genius behind the whole project.
To all, go and see it and enjoy. There will be places you laugh when no one else does.
