The brothers Gibb(Bee gees) pound out their greatest hits spanning four decades from the 60s to the 90s with no less than 31 cuts of their best stuff in their tour(One Night Only”). As an added surprise the boys pound out these classics without showing any weakness in their voices that plague so many other artists who have passed their prime, and, that is a feat all in itself.
As one of the world’s greatest bands that should be declared a national treasure this album “One Night Only” will provide you with an instant party even if you are home alone just drinking wine or beer and cutting up the rug in the living room. All you have to hope for is that no one walks in on you and tells you to lower the volume . yeeeeess dear Ill turn it down right after this piece.
Many of the melodies are done with few instruments, so the harmonies are crisp like I have never heard them before. A tremendous collection of their songs along with extras like Celine Dion makes the audio alone worth having this concert. Be ready to sing along with this one and yes, even clap your hands. We were up dancing in our living room! If you are old enough to remember the Bee Gees at the height of their careers, they can still inspire.
If you truly love music - especially memorable melodies, then it doesnt get any better than this. The Brothers Gibb should be proud of the music they have made for nearly 40 years(as evidenced by the many musicians now in line to re-make some of their many hits). The touching tribute to Andy Gibb and the performance by Celine Dion are the icing on the cake. As a music lover, you wont regret it.
