Hello
I am struggling to lose weight--over 200 lbs. forever and ever now. I think I first found this book at our local library in MI---I kept renewing it, so finally got my own on ebay or half.com---I feel soo much better---my bp was never under 159/90 and pulse was never under 91----I tried all kinds of bp meds---they were all horrid--I was even on water pills for like 2 yrs. now, but it wasnt helping. I think I have only lost about 7 lbs. in the last 12 days doing the fat flush program part of this book, but my bp has gone way down--think it was 142/75 and pulse was like 71--thank you god~~~~my scales wasnt working properly, but I am losing--its tough with the fat flush part with no breads at all, but I can do it--I am 54 yrs. old and feelin better than I have in a long time, and more energy and the bp monitor doesnt lie!!! Now I want the companion book to this one entitled, Formula 101. Try this diet--its totally balanced---every part of it has limits, including protein. Its well worth the try. theoann
It is now 2/07/06
I am still struggling on the diet, but sure feel better. One weird thing--as soon as I added the high-glycemic carbs, like taters, and breads etc--my BP went rite back up and it had gotten the lowest, 132/72, that its been in over 2 yrs. There is something about the high-glycemic carbs that definitely shoot my BP back up, and also cause me to crave all the stuff I really wasnt missing until I added them back in. Now I am doin a revised version of The Formula---breakfast is the Fat Flush part of the program---and one other meal of the day is also that---but one meal a day I splurge---I am afraid to get on the scales in fear I have not lost any or gained some, but my clothes are looser, and I dont get soo out of breath climbing stairs now, and I am not totally exhausted as I was before--soemthing must be working. I have gotten The Diet Cure on ebay for one thing--julie ross is the author and she gives suggestions as to supplements that will help me stay on the diet--it sounds alot like The Formula, so when it arrives, we shall see---gosh--how did I allow myself to get this heavy!!! A bit at a time, for sure. My wedding anniversary is on Valentines Day, and 15 yrs. ago on my wedding, I weighed 135---15 yrs. later---nearly 100 lbs. more--yikes!!! theoann
