Since Fortis was a stones throw away from my house it was very convenient to take my husband there hoping the pulmonary department with specialised doctors and diabetologists would take good care of him. They surely did all these years. But with Apollo hospital and MGM refurbished started making a name for themselves Fortis lost business. Yes I mean business bcoz they started minting money from the poor the not so rich in the name of health. This time was the limit Dr Vinod Chauhan unnecessarily forced us to use thei Bi pap machine instead of the machine we have at home and charged us exorbitant forced us to buy it too. O2 charges were charged more than normal unneccessaary tests which literally puts more pressure on our purse. Incompetent nursing staff hardly answering the call button and each doctors visit being charged even its thrice a day. The billing team was not at all helpful in slashing the bill reducing it nominally and insistes we pay the whole amount otherwise will not be allowed to go home. This has to be brought to the medias attention so that the layman is aware of the ripping off business thats happening in Fortis. We dont recommend anyome to go this hospital.
