Troublesome product and service

I own a Fossil Q Explorist HR watch which was bought from amazon.de in December 2019, and gifted to me.


The watch started problems with charging since June 2020 and by about September 2020 the watch could not be charged.


I gave to the local service centre(Beauty Times, Trivandrum, Kerala) and they INSISTED on invoice to prove that it is within the warranty. Since it was a gift I did not have invoice. Anyways I managed to get a copy of the amazon.de order from those gifted that to me.


It took about two months to got that repaired.


Again from June 2021 the charging failed. After about a month(delayed due to lock down), I went to the service center(beauty times), to give it for repair. This time also they insisted on the purchase invoice. I told them that I have repaired earlier and you must have the data to prove that it is in the warranty period. However they were not ready to check that, and insisted on me to give the invoice. Again I managed to get the order copy. But this time they said it is order copy and they need invoice to avail of the warranty. I told them I don’t have anything other than that.


Since the watch is almost unusable(due to frequent need for repairs and long time to get it repaired - minimum two months). In short this watch is the worst one!


To add to the poorest quality of the watch, the ugly response of the service center - the beauty times, Trivandrum.
