Yuk. I hate to put bevs originating from my own country down, but Foster’s (as brewed by CUB in Victoria) is the worst pigswill I have ever tasted.
Now, if any of you have ever tried the Foster’s as brewed by the Germans (yes, locally, with a completely different recipe), my comments are retracted. I can’t explain the taste (it was 4 years ago at a tradeshow, but I drunk alot of it for free), but I do remember being very happy and enjoying it immensely. Clean and sharp - from memory (or lack of ;)
For those of you thinking you are buying a slice of Australian beer drinking heaven, forget it. You are drinking the wrong beverage. Try Matilda Bay or Little Creatures.
