She says about her book that, its a novel written not for the sake of plots or sketch of characters or any other such fancy motive but. For the Sake of the art of writing a novel as it should be. A novel should be read and characters should be created and they are a mirror only of the thinking of the author and the power of her imagination and his, her creativity. This is a no mean task and a very original crave inside a writer. This book is in print since 35 years from the date of its publication and so many prints and so many million copies sold.
I will not talk about her beliefs about objectivity. I am not much of a ism person, I am myself: isms are all inventions of others, I am no carbon copy of any person living or dead. I took up this book to read, because reading is my pleasure, does this book succeed in giving me that ??? I think I enjoyed it thoroughly Howard Roark is a sketch of Ayn Rannd she meant him to be the image or character of a pure and real man which she as a writer craves to meet in this world and one other place she says she found him in her husband, , , Mr.Frank Conner that is why this book is dedicated to his name.
Anyway, I enjoyed Howard Roark, his impact is deep on my heart, the part of your body which give us the power of understanding,
Peter Keating : makes you feel disgusted.
Ellesworth Toohey : makes you aware of creepy creatures are living in great
numbers on this earth.
Steve Mallory : Pity and sympathy well out in your heart for him.
Henry Cameroon : is not real, he is a fiction.
Gail Waynard: unnecessary additional character in the novel
Dominique : Surrender herself to others because , she loves Roark
( Too thick for my skull)
See this book evokes emotions and feelings in the reader, it has done to me that is why I like it, recommend it to my friends. My recommendations will reflect upon my character, so I wont put it on line for useless books. There are so many other characters in this book all are deep and profound many others effect you and leave their impacts on your heart. Its an enjoyable effort on the part of Author, not for nothing it has achieved so much this book. Its called a master piece of American Literature printed
in 1960s and endure the time and all the changes in so many generations if the GENERATION NEXT has it in them to read and understand, they will too enjoy this book and the GENERATION NEXT after NEXT will too.
Writing is a piece of art, a piece of art is to be hoarded, I will hoard this book.
