Right away jumping On to a realistic picture of Fountainhead!!!As name of this book suggests this story is about a Fountainhead named Roark! The story reflects the Struggling lives of people who think the right way in this real world!! Yes!! there is some degree of exaggeration in the Roark character but how else will an author express her concepts ( Ayn’s Concept is called objectivism which is meeting one’s objectives of life without falling prey to emotions that will spoil it or to be more simple going after ones goals of life without breaking to any emotions that stands in ones way like social pressures, self fear, troubling relationships...). If she be more realistic her objective, the objectivism will be more confusing to understand.
Now to the story line which is not as great as Atlas shrugged but is better than atlas shrugged when it comes to explaining objectivism. So if you want to know objectivism the best place to start is Fountainhead. The whole story is about an architect named Roark and the struggles he faces for thinking differently ( "thinking the right way" is a more precise expression). A tribute to thinkers. I have read a few Reviews about objectivism and found some feeling bitter towards objectivism. Well the idealistic path is always bitter. To them I will suggest try adding a little realism to it I bet you will like it. Ayn cannot teach objectivism mixed with reality as it will be tough to understand. She can only teach from an idealistic standpoint. (For example one cannot learn mathematics by reading about real time problems it will be too difficult to do. Just like that!!).
So if you think you think( All humans must think but it is astonishing that many of us have stopped doing that) buy this book and read. As in Atlas shrugged Ayn can be a little too much descriptive not to blame her she belonged to a different time. If you feel so move on fast!! In overall this is a nice book for casual reading plus it gives stimulates you to think about the social structures of this world and some of the meaningless concepts that we practices ourselves in life!!
