Let me clear first. This review is for "Jawed Habib Hair & Style" not for the Four Fountain Spa-Pune. I went only for hair style and not for other services.
My wife was very much excited to know about Jawed Habib Hair and Style (SunSilk Style Studio) in Aundh. The parlor is just above ’MORE’ chain in Aundh. The ambiance is very nice and neat. I know because my wife insisted me to try out this for both of us. We landed there with expectations, kind of new hair style/new look and that too @ Habib ! I was impressed when I entered the parlor, its cool and calm. No crowd but you have take appointment for hair cut/hair style, you will not be entertained without prior appointment.
We decided to have hair style set for my wife and then for me. The guy (hair dresser) suddenly paid attention to us (leaving the hair cut in complete which he was already doing) and was quick @service. We asked him for broucher to see different style cuts (such brochures are available in most of the parlors) but to my surprise he had nothing to show us. And started with the work !!! I asked him to do the hair style which will suite her (my wife’s) face and would look good on western formals. My wife had to fly for a business meeting @CL, US. She had long (well below shoulder)hairs. He said that he would take care of it and do style which we wore expecting, he said a blunt cut would suit her. We agreed to it and the guy started with cutting.
After 2hrs with lots of questions on my n my wife’s face the guy completed the style cut. While cutting these guys spray enough water on hairs so that it wont be difficult in cutting and styling. After drying and setting we were surprised to see the new Style Cut of my wife !! IT WAS SIMPLE BOY CUT !!!! which you would see any village girls in village generally prefer when they do not have choice of Hair Style parlor in village. In 2 hrs the hair-dresser kept convincing us that the new look would look simply perfect for her face. BLUNT style suits her.
The stylist told us blunt cut and after everything done he said "blunt cut would not suit her and you need efforts to maintain the blunt cut" !! We were very much upset after the "New" look the hair dresser offered to my wife...... especially my wife was tooo upset since she had to fly. Surly this was not the one for which we were there. Any girl can understand what my wife would have felt ! After some argument on this we got the "Sorry" with welcome smile from the so called "Style Studio". Highlights are-
It is just the name of Jawed Habib, he never comes to the parlor neither he do any styling @Aundh(i guess @FC Road also)
It is just a franchise of Jawed Habib. In fact it is just a normal hair cutting unisex saloon.
Shamelessly the saloon offered us 20% discount on hair Styling (they think so)
Thought the bill of just hair cutting was 550/-
