THis is a light hearted look at life in this particular college. No offences to anyone are intended.Take the whole thing in a lighter vein and no ones feelings will get hurt.I hope.ANd as for all you freaks from my class reading this, well all I can say is go take a looong hike and stop yakking about me. Im gonna do what I want to on the net and none of you are gonna ever stop me.@!!
man this place is like a jail, as a senior put it, but all the sacrifices you are made to make are for your own good, as once out of here, youll be prepared to face the world, with all the crap that it throws at you.the reason why people call it a jail, as I feel, is the strict teachers and the rules youre expected to follow on campus.all for a good cause though, .the teachers are great when it comes to the teaching part and they also happen to be very accessible.something ive found in only one other college, St Xaviers in town.all in all, a great place.
the professors think nothing of stretching the last lecture by a couple of hours, and that adds nothing to the crowd in the borivli locals!most agnelites happen to stay in the vicinity of the college or somewhere in new bombay, which is both good and bad.
good as you dont waste time subjecting yourself to meta physical torture in the trains and bad as you dont learn to appreciate the time available to you to study.
on the whole I found new bombay to be a sort of poor cousin of bombay.no much by the way of entertainment and eating joints.most of the action happens to be concentrated around the station, which happens to be wonderful when compared to some of the other railway stations in bombay.
Theres an annual college festival called FACES-Fr Agnels Cultural Something and Something. :-).its a pretty subdued thing on the whole, but itf fun none the less with limited but entuhsiastic participants.dont expect anythin on the lines of Malhar or Umang, this is an engineering college!
Theres a marked absence of ragging here, but im hoping to get a kick out of it next year, so all you would be agnelites, watch out.@!!!
One thing I kind of like is the daily assembly held just outside the foyer during which the anthem is played and suff.gives you a great chance to chit chat and basically waste time.
The college timings are a bit of a bother specially if you dont live in the near vicinity or have to change trains to the central or western lines.if you live north of andheri, well welcome to my sorry club.about the central line, I don;t know much but I think its really bad.theres more concentrated mass in a central train than in a black hole, ive heard some people say.so much for that!
oh yeah..college is from 830 AM to whenever the concenned teacher chooses!
