No feedback about payment for three days

I made a payment through Freecharge to recharge my MTS data card. However, I was not able to use Internet using the data card. I tweeted Freecharge about confirmation of payment. I got a reply that they will check this with MTS and get back to me. But Freecharge did not get back to me for three days inspite of repeated requests and I had to recharge my other data card and use internet. It was only after three days did they say that the payment has gone through. MTS also refused to refund me the recharged amount. I lost Rs. 499 because of that.


I think it is very bad for a payment processing company to take three days to respond whether payment has gone through or not. This makes them very unreliable.


I then asked them to close my Freecharge account. However, they are saying that they can only disable my Freecharge account. Even after repeated requests to close my Freecharge account they have only disabled it. This means that only I will not be able to access my account. I can say this for sure as I am continuing to get offers on my mobile number for this Freecharge account. You can only open a Freecharge account but my experience is that you do not have the option of permanently closing this account.


Another thing is that I am not able to transfer my balance to my bank account. Although Freecharge says that it gives you the option to transfer the balance to your bank account, in practice it does not allow you to do that. When you add your bank account details, it says you have to wait for 48 hours. But even if you wait for 48 hours, you are not able to transfer the money back to the bank account.
