Although it looks like a good deal with their coupon gimmicks and all, the information provided on their site is not reliable. I recharged for Rs 247, which is listed under the 3G/4G plans sections on their app, twice and neither of the times did I get any data recharge. I did the two-times recharge as I was traveling and needed data desperately and thought whatever had gone wrong the first time.
I’ll take care of later. Anyways to my dismay I later found out that the data was not recharged at all and all the while data usage was draining my main account balance from about Rs 500 to Rs 0! I later called up the airtel customer care and they informed that there is no denomination of Rs 247 for data recharges and they cannot be held accountable for a messed up third party application. On complaining to freecharge, they just dropped me a mail saying that "Looks like you have recharged for a denomination that is not quoted on our portal" and closed the ticket. They did not even take the trouble to look at their listed denominations which STILL says 1GB 3G data @ Rs 247! Dismaying service as well as complaint redressals!
I have lost about Rs 1000 because of their irresponsibility(2 recharges fro Rs 247 which is not a valid airtel denomination and also Rs 500 from my main account which was drained on using data on roaming) and they are not even ready to refund a single penny!(I had asked for a refund of Rs 494).
I am attaching a photo of the faulty information provided on their’view plans’ secion on their app which clearly mentions Rs 247 as a 3G/4G denomination.
