Cashback deals are generally good and value for money. At one time, customer service used to be excellent, but that is no longer the case. Possibly because of budget cuts, phone support is drastically reduced and emails dont get responded to at all, so one is not sure about the progress on a complaint. When things are working well, Freecharge is pretty good, cashbacks are near instantaneous - you dont have to wait 24 hrs / 48 hrs or longer as some other competitors require you to do. When a transaction shows success at Freecharge but failure at a merchant, issue can drag on for weeks. In years of using Freecharge, I have had only one failed transaction(for which I continue to wait for a resolution). I however thought that this one negative experience cloud my overall positive experience with Freecharge.
Recharge is easy & convenient - in particular, I found list of Airtel recharge options(which were correct and working) that I could not find on Airtels site itself. Because of Airtel pushing their own Airtel Money, Freecharge I guess is unable to offer any cashback on Airtel transactions(unlike Vodafone, T24 and other providers where I have always got cashbacks).
