“Frequency”-PG-13-
John Sullivan (James Caviezel) is an unhappy police officer working on a homicide case that is over 30 years old. It involves a murder that hits close to home.
He still lives in the house his parents had when they were alive and comes across a two-way radio. He decides to hook it up and see if it still works. Amazingly it does. He starts talking with a man named Frank (Dennis Quaid). After a bunch of coincidences it turns out that Frank is his father that has been dead for 30 years. The get to talk over this cross time radio link and try to solve this old murder mystery.
As unbelievable as this is, it was quite an interesting story line. How the events are portrayed is really unique. This film was written by Toby Emmerich. He has written such movies as “Lost in Space” and “Boogie Nights.” The direction was by Gregory Hoblit.
Truthfully, I was not expecting to enjoy this movie. I was wrong. Yes, this movie was not believable, but it was interesting and entertaining. Andre Braugher also starred in this movie as the Police Captain. I watch him on T.V. and was pleased with his performance in “Frequency.” All in all I would recommend this film.
Enjoy!
