Let me be verrrry truthful...The reason why I started watching FRIENDS in the first place was for those 3 girls who kept saying -’’Iam not going to sleep with you’’ or ’’Did you have sex with him’’ types of dialogues...Something like the first few months of Baywatch where you had to watch Pamela Anderson ’chupke se’ when your Dad was not around....
But in a very short period, the sitcom has become a part of the family routine....The jokes are quick and you don’t have to be reallly Ameriki English ear-tuned to enjoy them. I guess there is no point in giving one liners about each character coz you already know them...
Somebody somewhere in the ’’creative writers room’’ realized by season 6 that they are running out of combinations...The whole strength of the show - of managing over 100 shows by focussing on just 6 people, has become its weakness. So they start the permeutation combination of the charcters themselves, and thats where the show starts becoming boring...Joey with Rachel, Rachel with Ross, Chandler with Monica...Oh ! The jokes are still hilarious, but the background itself....Maybe by season 13 ( Iam sure they’ll stretch it till that) EVERYONE would have slept with EVERYONE !
Then, there is the stereotyping problem...At first, Phoebe is the dumb blonde, Joey is the thick Italian Guy, Chandler is the guy with a good sense of humour...But now, Phoebe is just plain dumb, Joey has been becoming reallly stupid, and Chandler has been given a joke for every dialogue....But as long as Junta likes it....
Pointers....If these ever get considered
Get more outside people involved...Right now its just Phoebe or Joey’s date for just ’that’ episode
Dont look sooooo made up. Things were right till season 2-3...But now, especially Phoebe looks loaded with an inch of make up...OK You’ve got more money...but dont spend it on THIS..
