Watched this movie last week. I didnt have a very high expectation but thought might be a good time pass but turned out to be an average movie.
The story as such is nothing new. Its the run of the milllast minute enlightment/realization of love for one another. The movie tries to be different from the usual rom-coms but like I said it just tries.
Movie starts with Art Director Dylan( Justin Timberlake) moving from LA to Manhattan to give a shot at an interview with GQ although he is still not sure if really wants to make the move. Enter Jamie(Mila Kunis), the pretty Head Hunter cum Guide who receives Dylan at the airport in an amusing way. Am not sure if Head hunters take the candidates around for a city tour etc., If that is so then excuse my naivety. Well that being said, I myself would not mind taking a guy as cute as Justin around the city. As they say business with pleasure. Kudos to Jamie for hunting such a cute head;)
There is an instant chemistry between them and Dylan decides to take up the job.
P.S: Smart move by Dylan(after spending a rocking day with Jamie)
Later One thing leads to another and they take an oath to reap "benefits" as friends with no strings attached. They make this move as previously they have been heartbroken by their respective partners.
In between Dylan keeps getting relationship advice periodically from his gay colleague, Tommy, which draws some laughs.
In between they have roped in a family drama angle with Dylans father, sister and his nephew. Richard Jenkins plays Dylans father with Alzheimers. But this part of the movie didnt do much for the film. This angle has been introduced to evoke some sentiments but didnt succeed.
Finally this whole "benefit" arrangement leads to complications and the duo realise their true feelings/love for one another and then comes the happy ending.
In between some other characters like Jamies mom and a Children oncologist whom Jamie starts
dating have been introduced but less said about them the better.
I would recommend this movie as a tv/dvd watch and not worth a cinema hall experience.
One of the Pros is the Good looking lead pair and their chemistry. They look fab and gel very well in their roles.
