Hi friends, Deepak again for the review. Watched Fukrey Returns a week ago. As you guys must be aware that it is a sequel to Fukrey, there is no need to watch the first part to understand this one. Although the characters are same, but all the main story has been shorten and explained in the credits. So you can understand the relevance.
The whole story has a lot of mundane and boring scenes, except some which are owned by Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha. These two have made their mark and completely taken the scene with all the swag. Really enjoyed there presence on the screen.
All though the plot contains a little bit of action(similar to the prequel, politics, power, election, chemistry, humor and foul language. But after awhile the story seemed like it is getting stretched just to complete the running time. After interval it really tested my patience to be on my seat and not leave the movie in between. Specially the toilet humor gets a bit agitating after a while and seemed like they were trying really hard to make it interesting, but it didn’t.
Richa Chadha and Varun sharma has made their mark in every scene and I really liked their acting. They are really talented and polished actors. Other than these two everyone struggled to keep the story interesting.
Out of all the songs only "Tu mera bhai nhi hai" made an impression and I was humming the same even out of the theater. Other than than the songs were okk okk types.
Direction and cinematography are good. Personally liked some scenes and the way they are recorded specially when they are running from Richa, from goons or from every one. Although I noticed that most of the scenes were shot at an angle above the waist.
Overall, if you really want to watch this movie only then go to cinema hall otherwise buy the original CD/DVD or wait till it comes on the TV channel.
