We know a lot of multiplexes mushrooming the city; old cinemas giving way to new ones (esp multiple screens) and so on.
Gone are the days when one would have to buy tickets in black or wait for days for watching a movie. Now one can see a movie without planning.
Since we have a variety of options it is important to filter out the good ones so that we do not make a compromise. A theatre that has a good screen, SFX, sound, facilities, should be great on convenience, etc.
Surprisingly fun republic has it all. In its area; it has excellent screens, great SFX/sound, offers internet/SMS/tele-booking, has a great loyalty programme called R-Rewards, a decent food court and a music shop.
The only question I ask is : if we can book through the net, why cant we pay too. why call us 45 mins prior to the show and keep us waiting there ??
Apart from the above, the whole experience right from booking; to collecting the ticket; to watching the movie is simply fantastic.
The staff is helpful and smiling (though their systems sometimes go down - HAIL Mr. GATES) and surprisingly the manager is always there to solve your problems and get you through. I have seldom seen a guy like him. He runs a great show from morning to night. One of the Best Places I have been with all the convenience and smile I could receive.
I started doubting if those guys across the counter were mortal ...
