Jim Carrey, a very good actor , has given some fine performances in films like ’ The Mask’ and ’ Bruce Almighty’. These films were good. But, if I had to describe about ’ Fun With Dick and Jane’ , I would say, Great!
The Story... The story is about Mr.Dick Harper, a high paid employee of Globodyne, a large company in the US.His wife Jane, works too. They have a son, Billy, and a dog. Now, Dick gets promoted, hence, he requests his wife to quit her job.He is asked to attend a programme called Money Life. Here, Dick sees that his company performs very badle losing all the stock value and becoming null! It completely crashes. Dick , along with the many other employees of Globodyne get unemployed. Since, property of Globodyne crashes too, Dick’s house also becomes worthless. Now, Dick and his wife are pushed to extreme poverty where, they dont have enough money to pay their electricity bills! They try to earn through different ways like Salesman job, Being a tester of cometics, etc. Dick loses in every attempt. He and Jane decide to start stealing. Starting off with, not paying for a drink, Dick and Jane become professionals in robbing banks. They earn back their wealth through stealing. However, in one attempt to steal a bank, Dick and Jane narrowly escape the police. Dick, recalls his old office- mate to know about the crash of his company. He discovers that Jack McCallister, ( CEO of Globodyne) is the person behind the crash. Jack has about 400 million $’s at a bank in the form of bonds. Dick and Jane plan a perfect way to plot against Jack. They divert the 400 million $’s to Globodyne’s Pension Account, thereby, giving back every employee his dues and settlement from the company.
Other important facts about the movie is that the music score, dialogue delivery, every other aspect has been done very well. This movie has been a hilarious one. It will make one laugh his heart out. There is Jim Carrey at his best. Hence, folks, please don’t miss this film. It’s great.
