One word review - PATHETIC.

This movie was a total let down after watching KHNH recently. More so with Paresh Rawal in the cast. I guess that’s what was wrong - he got cast - typecast. I think he was put in there just because he had had a couple of hits as comedy flicks - and another brain dead director/producer came along and wanted to feed off it... or probably the producer actually wanted to lose some money!!
There’s just one basic theme - people from the 21st century go through some stupid unbreakable wall (which opens once in every 100 years and after twelve days again?!) - and get transported to the 10th century. Which btw looks nothing more than lots of people roaming around in Roman (??) costumes... There are no subplots and any attempt to come up with some - is all hunky dory.
There were two new comers, Paresh Rawal, Farida Jalal, Kader Khan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Raima Sen and one more good looking girl. Paresh Rawal was there for namesake. There is hardly any screen presence of that fellow and hardly and lines. Whatever you see in the ads are just the precious few humourous ones that he has uttered. Ashish Vidyarthi is also getting typecast as the funny villain in comedy movies - he was also there in Ek aur Ek Gyaarah. Oh crap - I dont even wanna write about the rest.
Most of it is forgettable. The only hummable numbers are ’’Fun2shh...’’ and ’’I will H-O-L-D hold...’’
Basically the movie has no script. All the comedy is slapstick with Kader Khan and Ashish Vidyarthi. The situational comedy doesnt even make you laugh.
Just forget about this movie - go watch KHNH again!!
