We have been associated with Furdo for more than a year. Furdo designed, manufactured, and installed the interiors for our home in Queensgate(House of Hiranandani, Bannerghatta Road).
In short: We are extremely happy with the services of Furdo for the interior design work and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for such services.
Now, the long story…We did not go by any reference or advertisements – we did our own assessment. We started looking for interior designers very early since we wanted to avoid taking decisions in a hurry. Visited a couple of design firms – the discussions with them started with cost and ended with discounts. We could not understand what ‘value’ they would bring to our home. They did show us their ‘Experience Centers’ – however, we were interested in looking at a completed project of around 1700 sqft, which is the approx. size of our home. They did not come back to us on this.
We clearly remember Furdo being different – the first discussion revolved around their service, materials they would use, implementation and after-sales support. This was one of the main reasons to choose them. We also visited one of their projects which was about to be completed.
We started the design process during the times of covid19. The design process was super smooth. We had a very simple philosophy - follow the designer and then make changes if required. Megha from Furdo did all the heavy lifting. Her input was a long list of articles that would get into each area. The challenge for her was to find space for each article while keeping an eye on aesthetics, colors, materials, cost etc. Functionally, we knew what we wanted from each space but how would each area look like – that was Megha’s call. We had very productive online and face-to-face meetings. All meetings started on time and went on for as long as either one of us desired. Each iteration resulted in a presentation from Megha showing us the changes. Just to give a sense of the amount of design work that was done – we went through 6 design iterations. No fuss, no rush! A big shoutout to Megha – if anyone reading this review decides to take up the services of Furdo, please ask for Megha as your designer.
The timeline for implementation, which is one of the points on which we are less happy, was 82 days(3BHK - 1683 sqft house). But, I guess, it just takes that long given the amount and quality of work that we expected. In the end it was delivered on the scheduled date. The manager, Arjun, was very patient during the whole implementation process, and got material & men to the site on-time, every-time. Visits were scheduled when important decisions were to be made(e.g. choosing colors, piping in kitchen for dishwasher, movement of electrical points). We were also free to visit the site whenever we wished and we did visit, several times. Now the hardware in the house matches closely with what was shown to us in the ppt during the design phase. So, thank you - Arjun and Madhu(On-site coordinator).
After completion, we did run into minor issues(sliding door issues, adjustment of hinges in the kitchen). The experience with Furdo has been very pleasant - we have called Furdo twice in the last 2 months(around 2 hrs’ job each time) – and both times, a carpenter was sent within 2 days. As of today(2-Jan-2023) they have no complaints pending with them. All issues have been addressed. In the area of cost: it was very transparent(an excel sheet with breakup for woodwork and others was provided).
One other very important note: throughout the process, we bought quite a few articles for our home – sofas, dining table, beds, curtains, paintings, wall hangings, chandelier etc. We consulted Megha on each one of these and received very quick, prompt, and honest feedback every time. For us, this was invaluable!
Disclaimer: We(I and my wife) have not been paid by anyone to write this review. If you are interested in speaking to us, please do contact Furdo and get our contact details. We will be more than happy to share our experience with you.
